Acronym for South Western Township was established in 1905, population around 2 million residents.
Tour description- Daily life in Soweto, visiting the twin towers (ex-cooling towers) were commissioned from early 40's to 1994, the more adventurous can attempt a 100 metre bungee jump from the towers. We also visit Vilakazi Street - famous as this is where former President Nelson Mandela and Archbishop Desmond Tutu resided. Mandela home is now a museum.
We also visit Hector Peterson memorial (he was one of many young students who lost there lives in the 1976 uprisings) we pass Baragwaneth hospital (one of largest hospitals in the world) as well as Soccer City (opening and closing of 2010 football world cup)​


Tour of the Old Fort prison (ex-awaiting political trial prisoners were held there) including Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela. This will be a guided tour with experts in their field, you will also visit the Constitutional court (our highest court in South Africa)​


Internationally recognized / self-guided - viewing material may be intense with visual graphics and videos.  The museum covers the period of Apartheid to the new era of democracy 1994. A moving experience.

Cullinan village is the home to the Cullinan Diamond Mine - this is where the largest Diamond in the world was discovered (3106 carats) part of the diamond is in the Queens Crown Jewels. The tour consists of a audio visual / surface tour on the mine ending with the opportunity to purchase a diamond from a very resourceful supplier.

Underground tours are available on request 4.5 hrs. No children under 16 are allowed underground.

Situated an hour’s drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria, the Sterkfontein Caves are world-famous for their fossil finds and are a popular visitor destination.

After an extensive facelift in 2005, the Sterkfontein Caves site is now home to a top restaurant and conferencing facilities, offering easy access to the caves with modern walkways and a boardwalk past the excavation site where globally acclaimed fossils have been discovered.

The Sterkfontein Caves are owned by the University of the Witwatersrand, whose scientists have been responsible for the main excavations at this World Heritage Site.

They are credited with many of the most notable discoveries in the caves, including the world-famous fossils of Mrs Ples and Little Foot, the latter being an almost complete Australopithecus skeleton dating back more than three million years.

The tours at the Sterkfontein Caves, which start above ground and then take visitors deep into the caves, run seven days a week.

Pretoria ​

Pretoria is the Administrative capital of South Africa, outside Washington DC has the most embassies in the world.
Known as the Jacaranda City ( main roads lined with Jakaranda Trees - flowers in October/ November) we drive through city onto the government Union Bulidings which marked the Union of South Africa 1910 ( designed by Sir Herbert Baker ) then onto the Paul Kruger residence ( Life and times of the Boer Leader - President 1890 to 1898) and lastly a visit to the Voortrekker Monument ( commererate the trials and tribulations of the boers / settlers in the 18th century in South Africa.

Gold Reef City / Apartheid Museum.​

Gold reef city which is next to the apartheid museum recreates the life and times of 19th and 20th centuries, it gives you an insight from the days Gold was discovered in Johannesburg (1878). There is also a tour down a mine shaft of a gold mine explaining the workings of the miner- as well as a gold pour.

Note:  Gold Reef is also an amusement park for youngsters. All rides included.

This tour will be followed by a self guided tour at the Apartheid Museum.
